The Next Chapter:

Career transition lab

You spent years earning your degree. Now let's build the career it was always meant to unlock.

A 5-week career strategy lab for Master's and doctoral students who are ready to move from overwhelmed and unclear to confident, strategic, and on their way.

Starts June 3 @ 7pm-8:30pm EST

Only 10 seats available

Does this sound like you?

You did the hard thing. You pursued the degree, showed up to every class, every meeting, every deadline, all while holding down a job, a family, a life.

And now you're standing at the edge of what comes next, and instead of feeling proud, you mostly feel stuck.

You're sending applications into what feels like a void. You're not sure how to talk about your research in a way that lands outside of academia. You're exhausted from trying to decode a job market that nobody in your program prepared you for. And underneath all of it is a quiet, persistent fear that this degree, all of this sacrifice, might not open the doors you thought it would.

You look like you have it together. Inside, you are wondering if you are the only one who feels this lost.

You are not. And you are not behind. You are just missing a strategy and the right support to execute it.

That is exactly what The Next Chapter was built for.

Here's what changes when you have the right support.

Women who work with me don't just finish their programs or land jobs. They leave with something that lasts much longer than a title or an offer letter.

After The Next Chapter, you will be able to:

 - Translate everything you have built in graduate school; your research, your teaching, your expertise; into language that resonates powerfully beyond academia.

 - Identify and confidently pursue career paths you may not have considered yet, including industry roles, nonprofit leadership, consulting, and entrepreneurship.

 - Build and activate a network that actually opens doors without feeling like you're performing or asking for favors.

 - Walk into interviews, negotiations, and new opportunities with the self-trust that comes from knowing exactly what you bring to the table.

And perhaps most importantly: you will stop going it alone.

You are not imagining it.

Graduate school trains you to be intellectually rigorous. It sharpens your thinking, deepens your expertise, and pushes you in ways most people around you will never fully understand.

What it does not always do is prepare you to navigate what comes after.

Most graduate students I work with are balancing coursework or a dissertation with a full-time job, carrying real financial pressure, wrestling with imposter syndrome that flares up at the worst possible moments, and applying for positions without a clear sense of what they actually want or what makes them stand out.

They are not failing. They are doing everything they were told to do — in a system that was never fully designed to support them.

The gap is not in you. It is in the support available to you.

The Next Chapter closes that gap.

Dr. Emmanuela

Founder

Hi! I'm Dr. Emmanuela.

I know what it feels like to be smart, capable, and completely unsure of what comes next.

When I was working toward my PhD while working full time, I assumed that being surrounded by career professionals would give me an advantage. I worked in a university career center. Career development was literally my job.

What I discovered was that graduate students are one of the most underserved populations when it comes to career support. The career center was built for undergraduates. My faculty advisor knew the faculty path and not much beyond it. And everyone assumed that because I was a doctoral student, I had it figured out.

I did not have it figured out.

I finished my degree, built a career I'm proud of, and then looked back and realized: the hardest part of that journey wasn't the research or the writing. It was navigating a system that was never fully designed for someone like me, without a roadmap or a community that understood the weight of what I was carrying.

I built Dr. Emmanuela Consulting because that support system should have existed. Now it does.

For over 15 years I have worked inside Fortune 100 companies, university career centers, and higher education institutions. I have been you. And I came out the other side with clarity, confidence, and a career that honors everything I invested in that degree.

You don't have to figure this out alone. You were never supposed to.

What it feels like to have support that actually centers you

"I completed my dissertation with confidence, clarity, and strong preparation. Dr. Emmanuela's expertise in content organization, research development, and defense preparation was invaluable."

RJ, doctoral graduate and coaching client

"I see now that one reason I may not have had success in the past was because I was taking jobs just to have jobs and not learning about the company's values or standing firm in mine. My 'aha moment' from our session? Trust Emmanuela's process."

Kathryn, career coaching client
